Whoops…

On Saturday I’m releasing a new painting but I couldn’t shake this idea.

What would it feel like to feel like you zoomed into the field and really got to see the depth and textures. A little abstract play on my seascape painting

This is the kind of painting I’m drawn to most.

Not the kind that shouts for attention, but the kind that quietly changes the feeling of a room.

This piece began in a rare quiet hour at the studio. Life had felt heavy, and instead of going in with a plan, I let myself follow the feeling I needed most: peace.

The moment the blue hit the canvas, I knew I wanted to create something soft and open. What unfolded was this gentle seascape and whimsical field from my imagination — airy, calm, and full of that exhale I had been craving.

It flowed almost effortlessly, and I nearly finished it in one sitting.

I think that feeling is still held in the painting now.

It feels peaceful.
Collected.
Like a breath of fresh air.

The kind of piece that doesn’t just decorate a home, but brings something to it.

A little softness.
A little beauty.
A little more room to breathe.

Coming soon… This painting was created for the pure joy of creating. It’s the sweet reminder of joy in chaos, stillness in the noise and how we have the opportunity to pause and be present in our one beautiful life.

I’m still working out the title for this new original painting. But I’m hoping to have it available in my website this week.

I’ve done this since I was a little kid

I’d have these sudden urges to rearrange my room, you could find me standing, staring. Then moving items around, hanging new art or to pushing my bed to a different side of the room.

What I realized later in life (because I still do this)

Is that home is a reflection of your internal.

And what you surround yourself with impacts your mind.

This is why I went to school for interior design, this is why art is both personal and now a business for me.

And if you ever feel overwhelmed or in need of a change… Sometimes it’s a simple clearing the table and adding a vase with flowers or swapping out your art for something new.
