The RE Store

Through the RE Store’s Manufacturing Waste Diversion program, we regularly receive excess materials from local businesses—including these premium leather trimmings & large scraps. ♻️ The recycled leather can be utilized for a myriad of projects & creations, from homemade jewelry, to costumes, to sheaths…the only limit is your imagination! Here, we’ve used the scraps to revamp an old watch with a new band! We’re confident these scraps will stand the test of time. ⌚️

In addition to our love of diverting waste through repurposing reclaimed building materials, giving furniture, cabinets, & doors a second (or third) life, & ensuring no tools are forgotten, we love the resulting DIY projects these materials become! If you’re like us, a walk around the RE Store never fails to fuel creative DIY spirit. There are so many innovative ways to put RE Store materials to good & whimsy use. So, we’re launching a series to showcase these projects and how we’ve been inspired to craft and create using RE Store materials.

For this project, off-cut scraps from a local mill were used as garden trellises, a quick project that can protect your tomatoes, give your peas something to climb, or just add some flair to your garden bed!

Oops, Did I Break That? Home Repair Basics for Renters and Homeowners This class will walk through the steps of repairing drywall holes (plus how to avoid making them in the first place) and go over the basics of how toilets work, along with their common problems.

Calling artists of all skill levels!

The RE Store is partnering with Make.Shift Art Space to put on the first annual Make Art Not Trash DIY: a free, all-ages, and all-skill-levels DIY Reclaimed Art Show.

Sculpture? Painting? Collage? Take something headed for the landfill and turn it into art. Or just come see what others have made, vote for your favorite, and maybe leave with a few ideas of your own.
