Yesterday we had the incredible honor of joining our partners and community leaders for the groundbreaking of the Young Korean Academy, also known as Hung Sa Dahn. This project carries deep historical and cultural meaning for Los Angeles and for the Korean American community.
Founded in 1913 by Korean independence leader Dosan Ahn Chang-Ho, the Young Korean Academy has long represented unity, education, service and a commitment to building strong future leaders. Now the site will begin an important new chapter with a thoughtfully reimagined space that preserves its history while creating a home for future generations to gather and learn.
Our team at Howard CDM is truly proud to help bring this vision forward with construction work that honors the past and builds for the future.
We are excited to share progress as the project moves ahead and to see this landmark restored to its role as a meaningful cultural center for the community.

Howard CDM is thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Studio One Elevenleven for the well-deserved recognition of the Watts Works project with the AIA Los Angeles Residential Honor Award for Architectural Design in the Affordable Housing category.

The modular design's clever use of color, light, and well-proportioned courtyards has created a strong sense of community while maintaining privacy and fostering interaction.
As the General Contractor on this project, Howard CDM is proud to have played a role in bringing this vision to life. It was a privilege to work alongside your incredible team, whose dedication and creativity were instrumental in achieving this remarkable outcome.
