Most kitchens today are too conservative

In recent years of designing kitchens, I’ve noticed something interesting:
when it comes to kitchen renovations, many people tend to play it very safe.

White, light gray, wood tones.
They’ve almost become the default choices.

But a kitchen can actually be much more expressive.

Take this Bauhaus-inspired kitchen for example.
We used deep blue cabinetry paired with warm wood flooring and light tile, creating a space that feels both bold and balanced.

Many people worry that darker colors will make a kitchen feel heavy, but when the lighting and materials are thoughtfully combined, deeper tones can actually make a space feel more refined and architectural.

This kitchen was designed using Bellmont’s Vero line, known for its clean lines and modern proportions — perfect for a design language inspired by Bauhaus minimalism.

The kitchen is one of the most frequently used spaces in a home.
