💛Our sweet girl Rhea is back in Beacon💛

Rhea first arrived in Beacon in July of 2025 with her housemate JazzPurr. In November, she was moved to New Paltz for logistical reasons, before being brought to HVARS for health concerns. She was adopted from there by someone who was very excited to have her

That lovely person has unfortunately since passed, and Rhea is now back with us in Beacon. She struggled getting into the old routine at first, but as a seasoned veteran of Beans, she quickly got back into the swing of things

We cannot say enough how sweet and loving this cat is. She doesn’t love other cats, but tolerates them well. She just needs a human who can give her love and chin scratches and a good lap. She is nearly 10 years old so would be perfect for anyone looking for a companion cat. We’re hoping to find somewhere loving for her to spend her golden years 💛

Fay has been with us/ for over a year, and finally found her match for a forever home!

Tabitha was recently brought back after being adopted in 2020, when she unfortunately lost her owner. Now she has another chance at a happy life with a new family that loves her!

“This is Mochi (formerly named Mooch) and was adoption number 178 from New Paltz. Mochi has been an amazing cat! Although he can be bad at times (he likes to steal bottle caps, push my glasses off the table and play all night long) he is such a sweet angel. I have never ever had a cat as cuddly and loving at Mochi. He loves to be held, cuddle and always be next to me. He is always the best part of my day, everyday.

He definitely is giving me a run for my money, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I can’t imagine having a better kitty than Mochi. “

“I’m reaching out with an update on Zorro, whom my boyfriend and I adopted from the New Paltz location back around February 15th of 2024. Two years have passed since then and I’m so happy to let you know he’s doing fantastic. Zorro is the most loving, grateful, and goofy cat we’ve ever had. He loves his siblings, Mama and Milk. Zorro and Milk are often found playing together, he loves bird watching, he loves his nightly cuddle sessions with my boyfriend, and he gets to sleep in a queen sized bed with us every night. And he’s just so happy about it all, it’s so obvious to me that he just loves having a home and I love providing that home for him. We can’t imagine our life without him, Zorro’s an amazing cat and every day I am so grateful that I brought him home with us. We adopted him after we lost one of our other cats, Willie, to kidney failure. Not to get too emotional, but my boyfriend was so depressed, and I think Zorro healed something inside of him. He’s brought so much joy to us and his now siblings when we needed it the most!! ”

We have since relocated to the DC area. Chloe is thriving as the center of our world! She loves to make biscuits, cuddle and bask in the sun and she never stops purring.
