🚨Employee Spotlight: Nate Skelton,
Instructor Coordinator

Nate retired as a Battalion Chief after 28 years of fire service in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and has been a Paramedic for 25 years. From the start, Nate believed that if he was going to do something, he was going to learn it well enough to teach it — and that dedication has guided his entire career.

With nearly 30 years of experience teaching rope rescue, confined space, cave rescue, swift water, extrication, wildland firefighting, and all levels of EMS and ICS, Nate has shared his expertise with countless students and professionals.

And Nate’s personal motto says it all:

“If you do good things with good people, you’ll have a great life.”

We’re proud to have Nate as part of the RNR Rescue team — a true leader, mentor, and example of lifelong dedication to rescue and safety. 💪

Know your knots 🪢 The Bowline – one of the most important knots you can learn. It creates a a strong, fixed loop at the end of a rope that is easy to tie, holds firmly under load, and is quick and easy to untie even after heavy strain. Trusted for rescue, rigging, and safety in the field!
