In just a few days, the men and women of historic LSP Cadet Class 101 will join the ranks of Louisiana’s Finest!

This Friday, November 4, 2022, Louisiana State Police will graduate 23 cadets from the training academy. These individuals will see the culmination of their hard work and dedication over the last 14 weeks as they become Louisiana State Troopers.

Please join us Friday for live streaming and additional coverage throughout the day as we welcome our new Troopers into the LSP family.

Happy Independence Day, the 4th of July!

On this Memorial Day the last paragraph of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address is a reminder to every American what the cost of freedom is. It's not a birthright but a privilege given to us by the sacrifice of the men and women who, "gave the last full measure of devotion."

"It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
