Member Profile – Leona Cochran

You may recognize Leona Cochran from her ever-present smile and bamboo walking cane, BUT DID YOU KNOW…

Leona grew up in Chicago and attended Dusable High School where she played guard on the basketball team.

She continued playing well after high school. In the mid-80s she was a member of the Old Timers basketball team and in 2011 she and her She-Ca-Go teammates competed in the Summer National Games in the 75 & Above Female bracket, earning 6th Place.

1st Wednesday of each month is Salad Day at the Baton Rouge Duplicate Bridge Club. Come for the salad and stay for a rousing game of bridge.
