I recently felt the need to spend some time in nature.
These were all shot on the Canon 45mm f/1.2 lens I wanted to play around with.
There was a dark butterfly floating around that mimosa tree I tried to follow. You can barely make out the blue on its wings.
In case you haven’t noticed I have a thing for green.
That third image reminded me of a donkey or horse.
If you haven’t been up to Clark Creek Natural Area I recommend.

This was one of the coolest events I’ve shot in a while and a very pleasant evening spent downtown. The first annual Southern Palette event put on by to raise funds. They brought in a few dozen at least chefs and bartenders from around the gulf south to let you sample their wares.

My niece Carson. Senior 2026.
The weather was pretty dreary most of this session until the very end as we were wrapping up the sun popped out briefly.
I shoot mostly commercial work (events, headshots, etc.) but I do like shooting these types of portrait sessions so hit me up.

Excerpt from the article by Sam Irwin:
Bond Lux, president of the band, is one of those retired professionals. He left information technology ten years ago. “We have ninety-year-olds, twenty-somethings, and teenagers playing first, second, and third chair parts side by side with each other,” Lux said, pointing out that the band will celebrate fifty years performing together in 2027.
Shot for for last month’s music issue.

Franz apparently has a thing for octopuses, and like the deep sea creatures, seems like a fascinating specimen himself.
