Having shade in pastures is something that Is often overlooked but very important in southern Louisiana during the summer months ! Having plenty of trees is definitely a plus for shade however in some pastures shade structures can be a good substitute to provide the cattle an area to escape some heat and get some relief! Below are some of our 2022 spring calves with a few cows enjoying some cool shady spots and a example of a basic cattle shade structure!
