🎣 Annual Food Bank Tournament

We held our annual Food Bank Tournament this past Saturday out of Doirons. It was a beautiful day to be on the water, but the fish definitely made everyone work for it! We also got to put our new Zook rods to work.

We can’t thank all of the high school and adult teams enough for showing up, competing, and donating to help support the Central Community Food Bank. This tournament is about more than fishing—it’s about giving back to our community and helping local families in need. Along with the food we are able to give back $1340 to the Central Food Bank.

We had a great fishing team meeting last night!

We were excited to welcome our new sponsor, Zook Rods, and Brock Miller to the meeting. Brock spoke with our anglers about sponsorships, what companies look for in anglers, the importance of social media and marketing, and what it takes to build strong relationships with sponsors. He then drew team names to receive Zook Rods. Our anglers were definitely excited!

We are extremely excited about this new partnership with Zook Rods and the opportunities it will provide for our anglers and our team. We look forward to building a great relationship for years to come!

We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to Chase Huval and State Representative Lauren Ventrella for securing a $25,000 grant for our fishing team. This was completely unexpected and is an incredible opportunity for our program. These funds will be used to support our anglers and team needs, including equipment and gear.

We truly cannot thank y’all enough for believing in our program and investing in our anglers. Your support means more than you know!

Finally, we want to take the time to thank all of our sponsors, friends, and families for your continued support of Central Fishing Team. It takes a community to build a successful program, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to stand behind our anglers.

Our Fishing Team and several of our anglers attended our first community event of the year—the CCA Banquet—and earned their first service hours of the season!

The CCA Banquet is always a great event and a lot of fun for our anglers. They get the opportunity to move around, help serve food, meet new people, and enjoy a great evening while giving back to the community.

We’re proud of our anglers for representing our team and Central High School while volunteering their time and serving others. This is what being part of a team is all about—fishing, fellowship, and giving back to our community!

Thank you to the CCA for allowing our anglers to be a part of such a great event. We’re looking forward to many more community service opportunities throughout the year!

Our first tournament of the season was held out of Doiron’s on a very sunny and HOT day! We had 12 teams hit the water and battle it out for our first Interclub AOY points of the year.
