TRANSPARENCY POST: I’m sure many of you have noticed my recent weight loss. Let me just tell you, it has not been intentional. I was diagnosed with diabetes 23 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. Although it was gestational diabetes, it has never left and I am a TYPE 1 diabetic. That means I have to inject insulin several times per day. Over the years I have managed well. Well, diabetes is progressive and it started to take its toll on my health. After much consideration, I opted for a medication change that has led to drastically improve my blood sugar but also resulted in me being the size you see today. If you’ve been following me you know I’m naturally a thick woman. This smaller size is taking some getting used to. But, my health is far more important than physical appearance. I still thank God that he took his time to put me together the way he did 😂. 20lbs lighter but I’m still dem chirren phine a$$🍑 momma tho 😝. Someone saw me in the airport today and asked so I said let me just address what I’m sure many are asking. I’m human and I have the same issues everyone else does. Remember: it’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. We live in an era where popular culture and this here good internet can have us thinking that what is going on around us is more important than what is going on inside of us.
