HAPPENING NOW: crews are on scene of a Hazmat incident where a gas line was hit while digging occurred. Knollhaven Drive is completely blocked at this moment. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this incident.

HAPPENING NOW: our City of St. George, La Police have confirmed that Horseshoe Bend at the end of Hoo Shoo Too is covered in water. If you have to travel this direction, please use caution. Don't drive through standing water, turn around, it's not worth it! As always, call us if you need us.

Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth: a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

As we honor this important chapter in our nation's history, we also recognize the strength of the communities we are privileged to serve every day. Together, we continue building a safer, stronger, and more united future.

🌧️ Tropical Storm Arthur is almost here. As we face the next few days of potentially severe weather, keep these safety tips in mind to help protect yourself, your family, and your property. 🌧️

🔌 Generator Safety: If you lose power, remember to keep generators at least 20 feet from your home with the exhaust pointed away from doors, windows, and vents. Never operate a generator inside a garage, shed, or any enclosed space. Carbon monoxide poisoning can happen quickly and without warning.

🚧 Roadway Hazards: Downed power lines, fallen trees, and storm debris can create dangerous travel conditions. Never drive over power lines or attempt to move large debris yourself. If a roadway is blocked, find an alternate route and notify the appropriate authorities.

🌊 Flooding: If water is covering the roadway and you can’t see what’s underneath, don’t chance it. Turn around and find another way. It takes far less water than most people realize to knock a person off their feet or carry away a vehicle.

Most storm-related injuries happen after the storm passes. Slow down, think before you act, and don’t take unnecessary risks.
