Officially a Harvard Bloomberg graduate.

Nine months. 45 cities. 16 countries. Learning alongside mayors from around the world through sessions at Harvard and virtual sessions.

Through collaboration and continuous learning, I gained practical strategies cities are using to address blight, public safety, and homelessness.

Grateful to and for supporting city leaders and strengthening local government.

It was a great day at City Hall welcoming LSU President Wade Rouse, hosted by Councilwoman Carolyn Coleman. We were proud to recognize President Rouse for his many accomplishments and to give him a warm City Hall welcome.

Having President Rouse at City Hall today was more than just a visit it’s about building real relationships and working together with institutions like Louisiana State University to make Baton Rouge better.

Reinvesting in our neighborhoods. Investing in our neighbors.

Last year, we tore down over 200 blighted houses, but the goal isn’t just to tear down what’s broken, it’s to ultimately prevent properties from becoming blighted.

Today, I announced that we received a $6 million grant to keep building more affordable housing right here in Baton Rouge and bring properties back to life.

I’m standing in front of one of the first homes we’ve already finished in South Baton Rouge—ready for a first-time buyer—and it’s just the beginning.

We’re going to keep doing projects like this to stop blight before it starts and rebuild our neighborhoods the right way.

Honoring the brave men and women from the Baton Rouge area as they answer the call to serve in the Middle East. We stand with you, we support you, and we’ll be here ready to welcome you home safely. 🇺🇸

I don’t hand out keys to our city lightly, and today meant something special. Honored to present Flau’jae Johnson with the Key to the City and officially recognize “Flau’jae Johnson Big Four Day.”

Flau’jae is a force a remarkable young woman who continues to pour into our city, inspire the next generation, and represent Baton Rouge with passion and purpose. We’re sad to see her leave our city and LSU, but proud to watch her step boldly into her next chapter.

Congratulations, Flau’jae. You’re forever an honorary daughter of the City of Baton Rouge 🔑

Today is World Autism Awareness Day. As a proud father of two autistic sons, I am committed to raising awareness and championing inclusion in our community. Let’s continue to build a world where everyone is supported. 💙
