That’s a wrap on Mega Sports Camp 2026! We had a blast playing our final games, celebrating students as they received their awards, watching them perform what they learned, and enjoying some delicious cookout with our families. What an incredible week!

Day 2 of Mega Sports Camp is in the books, and what an incredible day it was! ⚽🏀🏈
Tomorrow is our final day, and it's definitely bittersweet. We're sad to see camp come to an end, but we're excited to celebrate all that the kids have accomplished and cheer them on as they receive their awards!!

Yesterday, the message was titled, "Have I Made That Person an Idol?"

"The idolatry of a person is evident when you are more concerned with what that person thinks of you than how the Lord sees you." - Pastor Checkerz

Psalm 146:3 reminds us not to place our trust in people, and Galatians 1:10 challenges us to seek God's approval above all else.

"Living for the approval of others can be destructive when it comes at the cost of our relationship with the Lord." - Pastor Checkerz

Take some time this week to meditate on whether there is someone in your life who has become an idol. Consider whether their approval, attention, or presence has become more important to you than your relationship with God.

What if the Christian life isn't about comfort, but about Christ? This week we tackled the uncomfortable truth: when comfort becomes our highest priority, it becomes our master. But when Christ becomes our priority, comfort loses its control.

Jesus didn't say "improve yourself" or "pamper yourself." He said, "If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24-27). The cross was never designed to fit comfortably on our shoulders—it was designed to crucify our self-centeredness.

Paul wrote from prison, "For me to live is Christ, to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). His suffering advanced the gospel. His discomfort encouraged others. His sacrifice opened doors for ministry. The question isn't whether it's safe—the question is whether Jesus is worthy.

Stop asking "What's the least I can do?" and start asking "How much of my life can I leverage for Christ's glory?" A life spent pursuing comfort will eventually be lost, but a life surrendered to Christ will echo into eternity.
