Thousands of maps were made to order and later distributed to libraries across the United States. These maps were either individually produced or were part of reports.....

OSS Map 2995 dated January 14, 1944 shows the planned Normandy invasion area from the forced perspective of looking from the south coast of England towards Normandy. The map was created by photographing a portion of a large 3-D relief model.
