It's Welcoming Week at the YMCA! Everyone knows what it feels like to be new. A new place. A new school. A new beginning. During Welcoming Week, we’re reminded that belonging doesn’t just happen. It’s something we create together. And at the Y, that’s what we’ve been doing for the past 175 years.

No matter the job, we appreciate your hard work and the difference you make in our community! This Labor Day, the YMCA of the Capital Area wants to encourage you to take some time for yourself – read a book, enjoy a long walk or find a quiet spot to meditate – you deserve a break!
As a reminder, the following locations will close at 1 pm on Monday, September 7: A. C. Lewis YMCA, Americana YMCA, Dow Westside YMCA, Paula G. Manship YMCA . All remaining locations will be closed. 24-hour access will be available for 24-hour members at our 24-hour locations.
The Sylvesters are making the YMCA part of their family routine, with everyone finding something they enjoy. From Kids Zone and swimming to workouts and quality time together, the Y gives their family a place to grow, stay active, and have fun together!
