Through these positive affirmations, they are learning the importance of taking responsibility for themselves and the choices they make. Our End-of-the-Year Extended Day celebration was filled with joy, pride, and a touch of bittersweet emotion as we wrapped up another incredible school year together!

Our Extended Day scholars have learned, grown, and shined in so many ways throughout the year. To celebrate their growth and accomplishments, each scholar received a special certificate recognizing a positive character trait that reflected their unique journey and achievements. Our scholars were excited during our engaging lesson on unity and bringing people together. Our scholars are learning that each person plays an important role in our class, our families, and everything we do each day. They are also learning the importance of caring for one another, getting along, and choosing kindness. When we accept and support each other, we grow stronger together. In our diversity lesson, we learned about respecting and celebrating the differences of those around us. We discussed how everyone is alike in some ways, but also uniquely made in their own special way. Our scholars also enjoyed coloring self-portraits and sharing what makes them different and special. In our Work Ethic lesson, our scholars are learning that work ethic is how you act while you work, believing in what you are doing, and understanding the importance of hard work. In our GRIT lesson, our scholars are learning about choosing to have resilience so they can keep working toward a goal, even when things get tough. In our lesson “Goals: My dreams and Future Matter”, our scholars are learning that their dreams are important and about how they can begin taking steps to reach them each day.” 🌟
