In our Work Ethic lesson, our scholars are learning that work ethic is how you act while you work, believing in what you are doing, and understanding the importance of hard work. In our GRIT lesson, our scholars are learning about choosing to have resilience so they can keep working toward a goal, even when things get tough. In our lesson “Goals: My dreams and Future Matter”, our scholars are learning that their dreams are important and about how they can begin taking steps to reach them each day.” 🌟

In our GOALS lesson, our scholars are learning the importance of setting goals, working hard, and believing in themselves as they strive to reach them! They are learning that if you want something, you must set a goal, do your best, and never give up, and they had so much fun learning and engaging in this exciting lesson! A special thank you to Jay Thompson with SITECH and his son, James, for taking time out to share such an engaging and meaningful lesson with our scholars on the importance of keeping your promises and honoring your word.

Through thoughtful examples and engaging questions, our scholars learned how it can make someone feel when a promise is broken versus when someone follows through on their word and how both situations affect not only others, but ourselves as well.
