Come join us this Sunday April 19th for an adventure in music at the Goodwood Library. See you at 5:00 p.m.
The Baton Rouge Concert Band invites the community to its Spring Concert on Sunday, April 19th, This performance will celebrate some of the most recognizable and exciting music ever written — all connected by one very familiar name.
This season’s program brings together sweeping melodies, bold symphonic dances, and unforgettable themes from the concert hall and the silver screen, all sharing a common thread: The name William which is either the title, composer name or arranger name. William is a classic Germanic name meaning "resolute protector" or "strong-willed warrior" and you will see it in the foundation of each musical selection. From classic overtures to beloved film scores, the concert offers something for longtime music lovers and casual listeners alike.
The concert will be on the Plaza at the Main Branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library (7711 Goodwood Blvd.).
Come discover just how much great music can come from a name — or rather, from many Williams.
If you can't make it in person, watch us live on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/share/18AV5csGPo/
