Don't let a trot line tie you down. Patented design, only check the ones that are tipped up. The Tipster is an exciting way to catch fish.

You put them out and run them similiar to a trot line or jug fishing. They have several unique features, one of which is an internal weight that releases when the Tipster is pulled on and shows that you have had a bite or have a fish.

Tipster fishing is easy even in the fog. You idle setting them out and you idle when you run them. There is a lot of idling this time of year in the mornings. Be careful out there and wear your life jacket when you're running with the big motor.

The weather is warming up. If you are going for inshore fish, set some Tipster out on the way out. If you get skunked, the Tipsters might save your fish fry.

Alden and his new paw and law, Scott, went to
Scott's Camp this past weekend. It was mostly a get away and work on the camp weekend. They did decide to go try a spot for bass. On the way they set out four Tipsters. Bass fishermen 0, Tipsters 7.

Use live shad or perch to catch these babies on a Tipster. Also remove one hook and go weightless and let them drift. The T-cap on the end makes setting at different depths a cinch. Set some at 3,6, and 9 feet and let them drift. Color coding them for depth is optional. 😉

Tipsters are a fun and easy way to catch a bunch of fish. When you get your Tipsters, the line will be wound around the Tee at the end of the Tipster. You will need to take the line off the Tee and wind it on the tube. This frees the Tee so you can put two half hitches on the Tee to set it. This video will show you in detail how to get your Tipsters ready to fish.
