Yesterday’s Baton Rouge Bar Association event brought together attorneys and local judges for an evening of connection, conversation, and community. We are grateful for the opportunity to gather outside the courtroom and strengthen relationships across the legal community. We’re proud to spotlight Clay Countryman as he presents at the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) 2026 Annual Conference in National Harbor, Maryland.

Clay’s presentation, “Medicare Advantage: Emissaries of Risk in Payment, In Contractual Arrangement and in Compliance Response to Recent Government Enforcement Actions,” will explore the evolving challenges and opportunities surrounding Medicare Advantage, contractual risk allocation, and compliance considerations in today’s healthcare landscape.

Congratulations to Carrie Jones on receiving the 2026 Stephen T. Victory Memorial Award at the LSBA Annual Meeting.

The award is presented to Louisiana Bar Journal contributors deemed to have produced the most outstanding work. Carrie's article, “The Role and Regulation of Pharmacy Benefit Managers: A Legal Perspective from Louisiana,” published in the August/September 2025 issue of the Journal stood out not only for its timely, breaking-news nature, but also for the speed with which it was developed.
