A 26-year-old woman, identified as Taylor Ganey, died after falling from a third-story balcony near LSU Monday night. The incident happened just before 8 p.m. on Ben Hur Road.
Police say the cause of the fall is under investigation. No arrests have been made, and no structural issues were found.

A 19-year-old LSU student died Friday in a crash in Opelousas while traveling home to Dallas after completing her freshman year.
State police said Courtney Hodge was killed after her vehicle struck a slowing commercial truck on Louisiana Highway 190.
