What a wonderful Thanksgiving opportunity. We are so grateful at The W Consulting Group to have partnered with Forte & Tablada in coordinating their 1st Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Challenge 2022. Grateful for the many local businesses that donated over 50 food boxes to bless families utilizing the Food Banks in both the Baton Rouge and Shreveport areas. In addition 15 turkeys and food boxes were given to needed families for Thanksgiving. It was a blessed holiday. Truly thankful.🦃❤️🙏🏽

1st ANNUAL COMMUNITY “GIVE BACK” TOY DRIVE

BATON ROUGE, La. (December 15, 2021) – Tara Wicker, President & CEO of The W Consulting Group announced today the 1st Annual Community Give Back Toy Drive.

Join Tara Wicker, President & CEO of The W Consulting Group, EBR Sheriff’s Office, State Representative C. Denise Marcelle, and Fecit Antiques and Estate Sales, for the first Community “Give Back” Toy Drive. This give back campaign was launched earlier this year with the intent to provide resources, training, and opportunities to communities and families in need.

The first Community “Give Back” Toy Drive will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at 1564 Nicholson Dr. at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church. Donated new, unwrapped Christmas toys will be collected to be given to needy children throughout the community.

“This amazing community partnership idea provides a unique, easy, and safe way to share in the spirit of giving this season”, said event organizer Tara Wicker. Anyone desiring to give Christmas toys for needy families can simply drive up and roll down their window to give new, unwrapped toys to the Community “Give Back” Toy Drive.

All collected toys will be distributed to needy children up until Christmas Eve. In addition, five families will be selected to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the beautiful Downtown Hampton Hotel, complete with a decorated Christmas tree (donated by Down to the Wire Event Planning, wonderful gifts, Christmas breakfast and lunch. Tara Wicker stated, “This is truly the best time of the year and what better way to celebrate this special season than through giving.”

LOCAL COMPANY KEEPS PROMISE, AGAIN DONATES PROCEEDS TO NBR COMMUNITY “GIVE BACK” CAMPAIGN

BATON ROUGE, La. (October 17, 2021) – Tara Wicker, an experienced public sector leader, long-time community organizer, and President & CEO of The W Consulting Group announced today the 2nd Community Give Back Campaign Initiative.

Join The W Consulting Group and Fecit Antiques and Estate Sales for the second community “Give Back” Workshop. Fecit helped to launch the Community “Give Back” Campaign by committing a percentage of their proceeds to fund initiatives in the North Baton Rouge area.

The second give back initiative will be held on Tuesday, October 19th at the Delmont Garden Branch Library, at 3351 Lorraine St. from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. Participants will learn, “How to Conduct a Profitable Estate Sale, Identifying Hidden Antiques Treasures, Succession Planning; and Leaving a Life Well Planned. Presentations will be given by Karen Khonsari, the owner of Fecit Antiques and Estate Sales, Donovan Hudson of Donovan K. Hudson and Associates, and Agnes Andrews of Allstate Insurance Company.

Participants will again have the chance to compete and win cash prizes by guessing the value of various antique items. Anyone wishing to join the event online can join by clicking the Leaving a Legacy Community “Give Back” Workshop link on www.thewconsultinggroup.org website.

“This amazing community partnership will be used to highlight the importance of giving back to our local communities. Additional proceeds from the Estate Sale will be used to honor the estate owner, educator, and well-known local personality, Ms. Lena Baker by launching The Lena Baker School of Etiquette for Young Girls. Ms. Baker loved to entertain, and the school of etiquette will teach young girls the principles of proper etiquette and entertaining guests using crystal treasures purchased from Ms. Baker's estate. This is a wonderful way to honor her legacy,” said Tara Wicker, President & CEO of The W Consulting Group. “This is such a great event and opportunity for citizens to learn how to leave a legacy for family and loved ones. It’s been an honor to work with companies like Fecit Antiques and Estate Sales who really care and understand the importance of giving back. We are excited to have a hand in coordinating this event and many more like it.”
