“To pray the rosary is to hand over our burdens to the merciful hearts of Christ and His Mother.” -St. John Paul II

This rosary is the Pink and White Paracord Rosary found on my Etsy🤍

Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, but what does it mean?

The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains it best:
“To become the mother of the Savior, Mary ‘was enriched by God with gifts appropriate to such a role’.
Through the centuries, the Church has become ever more aware that Mary, “full of grace” through God, was redeemed from the moment of her conception.
The ‘splendor of an entirely unique holiness’ by which Mary is ‘enriched from the first instant of her conception’ comes wholly from Christ.” (CCC 490-492)

To summarize, the Church celebrates today as the day in which the Mother of God was conceived in the womb of St. Anne, without the stain of original sin, so that she could become a perfect vessel for Christ.

Blessed Mother, be with us every day and draw us closer to your Son🤍

A prayer to St. Joseph:

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me by your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return that kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for us.

The Carpenter rosary was born out of a love and devotion to St. Joseph and his model of masculinity.

The love he has for Our Lady and Jesus is something to admire and strive for.

I’ve been so busy trying out new methods of binding rosaries and I think I’ve fallen in love with rope-bound rosaries🤭 These are a few finished ones that are now live on my Etsy, including variations of previously made metal-bound rosaries!

I created the Immaculate Conception Rosary to resemble the colors often used to symbolize Our Lady, namely the shades of blue and green used in Her tilma and mantle. This has been one of my favorites for a while now!

new brand, new logo, new mission!

These past two years of my itty bitty small business have been so great, but my name and brand didn’t feel like something I really connected with. So after many months of brainstorming and prayer, Ordinary Saints is where I landed.

In the mess of working hard and still feeling insufficient, I realized that simply doing is what moves us on this path to holiness. Each of the movements we make, when our focus is on Heaven, refine us and over time, we grow in grace and virtue.

The vast majority of us will not be a St. John Paul II or even a St. Thérèse of Lisieux, but we can be ordinary saints, living extraordinary virtue in our everyday lives.

Introducing one of the new rosaries to hit the boutique: the Regina Caeli!

Meaning Queen of Heaven, this rosary has beautiful blue beads and the centerpiece has an image of Our Lady. The crucifix also at the end has a miraculous medal in the center, so it's truly perfect for anyone with a Marian devotion.

Check out the shop to see all of the new things we have to offer!
