Nothing makes me feel more connected to the earth than walking the beaches close to my nana’s house in Florida.

I grew up with a special tradition - every time we visited the beach we would walk along the water and pick up trash. It was always after major holidays where we would have piles and piles of trash :/ What a wonderful life lesson and tradition.

My nana taught me about sand dollars, “mermaid purses” and everything the beach has to offer. Her house was decorated with drift wood and shells from over the years.

Now, over a year after she’s gone from us, I still feel her presence when I walk these beaches. I am so grateful for the connection I can still feel when I walk along the water. These beaches mean so much to me - more than just a vacation spot. And we still continue our tradition of picking up trash every time we go - just as she taught us. I always will.

This post almost didn’t happen :/

I love this table spread from and couldn’t wait to post it. It’s not often that I have two different BTS videos for one piece of content - so which do I post? What should be an “easy” choice turned into second-guessing every detail and my brain getting stuck in a loop that lasted for days. For my OCD, this simple video was anything but.

Living with OCD means that sometimes the simplest tasks turn into something bigger, and a lot of times it stops me from posting at all.

But I don’t want to be stuck in the cycle. So today I’m letting go of the perfectionism a little and asking you: which version do you prefer? I would love for you to vote in my poll and tell me in the comments :-)
