Our annual summer fundraiser is just around the corner, and we hope you'll join us for an evening of music, community, and celebration in support of Village Learning Place. Every ticket helps support the programs, events, and spaces that promote literacy, cultural awareness, and lifelong learning.

While you're marking your calendar, this week also brings Spring Yoga, our monthly 2nd Wednesday gathering, Da Crit, and our Garden Workday. Then on Sunday, we'll be welcoming visitors for the Charles Village Garden Walk, and we're proud that the VLP garden is one of the featured stops.

Join us next Wednesday for a lively performance from Baltimore’s most original community choir, the Dan Meyer Choir. They have delighted audiences with original choral compositions and arrangements celebrating Baltimore’s rich history, traditions, and unique character since 2009. 🎤🎶

As spring winds down, we're closing out the season with a week full of learning, creativity, and wellness at Village Learning Place.

Today's Breathwork Class is the final session before we pause for the summer and return in September. Alongside Spring Yoga 🧘, we also have a hands-on makerspace workshop focused on 3D Printing Basics, presented in partnership with Open Works, complete with a guided project to help you get started. ✨

In just two weeks, the Village Learning Place will transform into Rum & Reggae, filling our space with live music, good food, and dancing.

We are hiring for our LINK Summer Program. If you are passionate about youth development and education, this position is perfect for you!

The Site Manager will oversee daily operations and ensure safe, high-quality implementation of summer programming, including staff supervision, program coordination, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This seasonal role runs from June 22-August 11.

Read Between the Wines is more than a fundraiser. It is a powerful evening of reflection, where we get to hear the meaningful impact the VLP has on our community!🗣️✨

During the evening’s celebration, Shirley Brewer, a local poet and longtime member of our 2nd Wednesday planning committee, shared a beautiful poem from one of her books and reflected on why the VLP means so much to her.

Her words were a reminder that the VLP continues to be a space where the community can learn, tell their stories, and connect with neighbors in meaningful ways.

We’re looking forward to getting our hands dirty at this week's Garden Work Day and to hosting the Candidates Forum for City School Board with CVCA.
