Designing buildings that positively impact communities is truly rewarding. The 316-unit affordable housing project features over 21,000sf of community-centered amenity space , including a dual-level fitness center, courtyard with ample gathering space and a rooftop pool terrace with fireplaces and grilling stations. Out with the old! Hillman Garage demolition is well under way in Annapolis, Maryland. Teams are on the ground, clearing the way of the new facility. The new garage will boast an additional 165 spaces, increased lighting, green technology, bike racks, and greater ADA accessibility. The garage is part of the greater scheme to rebuild City Dock and add long-term benefits for the city, residents, and tourists.
We look forward to sharing the process over the next 14 months.

As we start a new year, we pause to reflect on the moments we shared with our friends and colleagues that made 2021 exceptional. More than anything we are grateful for the experiences we had that strengthened partnerships and those that led to new relationships.
We strive to improve our built environment for the lives of the people that they touch. After all, no matter if at work or home we all desire to be a part of a community, now more than ever.
From our families to yours, we wish you good health, good cheer, and a happy new year!

To better utilize office space for individual tenants, some building owners and developers are shifting their focus toward shared amenity spaces. The Wayline, a vision of COPT, designated over 20,000 sf of interior and exterior amenities to accommodate a wide range of activities from social gatherings to events and meetings to conferences.
The space between places. From nature and landscape architecture to retail and pedestrian experiences, designing the in-between spaces is a valuable part of any project. This pedestrian filled park acts as a central trail through this community and showcases a valuable trend in current design of moving to the outside.
