Thank you to all our members who have and continue to support those impacted by the flooding in Maryland earlier in the month!
"After the catastrophic flooding that hit Western Maryland on May 13, the outpouring of support from Maryland Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) member organizations made a real difference for the people of Westernport, Barton, Luke, Lonaconing, Midland, Cumberland, Piney Ridge Dam, Savage River Area, New Germany, Merrill, Grantsville, and others.
Whether it was helping families find a safe place to stay, providing meals and much needed supplies, or supporting cleanup efforts, these organizations helped our communities swiftly, with determination and love. Their actions reflect the best of who we are as Marylanders, and Iโm truly grateful for their commitment to helping our neighbors recover and rebuild."-Russell Strickland, Secretary, Maryland Department of Emergency Management
