Today is World Rabies Day! Many areas around the US are seeing the number of cases go up. This graphic was taken from the Maine CDC site, so the Important phone numbers at the bottom of the graphic are for Maine. If you're potentially exposed to rabies (you were bitten or scratched by a wild animal or an animal whose vaccine history is unknown, or you have recently found a bat in your home), please call your doctor or local CDC (or veterinarian if you're concerned for your pet) right away to seek treatment before it is too late. Rabies, if left untreated, is FATAL. Please stay safe out there.

REUNITED!! 😁🌻Pepper got lost and was scared to death. She kept trying to get into parked cars. Tracker Melanie and K9 Ramona showed the family where to park their car by tracking Pepper's scent, and Melanie recommended leaving the back doors open with food in the back. Sure enough, after waiting for awhile, Pepper jumped into the back, saw her mom, and then jumped into the front seat!! Great job! This was a team effort that included the tracker and K9, a thermal drone pilot, trappers, and the family. Welcome Home Pepper! 🐕🐾😍🙌
