Mindpub Cafe

This has been a heavy week for us at Mindpub and in our community.
Tonight, a car crashed into our building. It’s stressful, upsetting, and yes… our beautiful new front door didn’t survive. But in the grand scheme of things, those are all things that can be repaired and replaced. Most importantly, nobody was hurt.
Just days ago, we unexpectedly lost one of our former employees at only 23 years old. That loss puts a lot into perspective. Buildings, doors, and businesses can be fixed. People cannot.
Tonight just feels like a reminder to give each other a little grace, hug your people a little tighter, and remember what really matters. ❤️

Many of you may have seen the Baltimore Business Journal article about Mindpub being listed for sale, and I wanted to share a little more context directly with our community.
First, Mindpub is not closing. The café will remain open while we look for the right next owner and continue on with a new owner.
When Todd and I opened Mindpub in 2021, the goal was to create something special for the neighborhood. We hoped to create a place where people could gather, work, meet friends, and feel comfortable spending time. Thanks to this community, it grew into exactly that.
After working in the restaurant industry since I was 15, I recently turned 50. With our last child heading out this summer, Todd and I are entering a new chapter of life and hoping to do a little more traveling while we can.
We are incredibly proud of what Mindpub has become and our hope is to find the right next operator who will continue building on what is here and bring their own energy and ideas to the space.
We will still be very much part of Baltimore and are continuing to work on projects locally, including the rehabilitation of a building in Pigtown.
Most importantly, thank you. This neighborhood supported Mindpub from day one and that means more than we can express.
We are excited to see what the future holds for Mindpub and for all of us.
