Stitching on the Moon

This piece has some special meaning to me. I was lucky to have a chance to colab with one of my favorite patch makers, Kristel Light of Josie Loves Jerry, on a project for someone we’re both good friends with, Joshua Hitchens Photography. Kristel made the bolt on the chest and the stunning back patch. I made the patch on the hood and hooked the rest of the hoodie up in my trademark style. Hope this one serves you well Joshy! ❤️

Speaking of sale, it’s almost time for me to take a little hiatus from sewing. I have a handfull of orders still left to fill and those will be completed before I pack my machine up for a bit but I can no longer accept new projects. Playing music was my passion before sewing stitched its way into my life during Covid times when there were no gigs to play. Sewing filled a massive void in my world and gave me a place to direct my creativity when I had no other outlet. I made over 60 hoodies in a few short years and it’s been so awesome to see them walking around out in the wild these last couple years. You all have supported my work from the get go and that’s one of the most humbling and verifying things I’ve ever experienced. I’ll be forever GRATEFUL to have had this opportunity.
This past year I’ve had to chance to get back into performing music in my free time and that’s where all my creative energy has been directed leaving me with less inspiration and time to sew. You’ll still see some action on this page from time to time as I’m not willing to completely abandon this muse, and I still have some orders to fill. There’s just something else that needs my full attention. In the mean time please check out the band I’m in! Whiskey Narrows String Band is comprised of some of the finest musicians I’ve ever had the pleasure to play with. Please check out our page and give it a “like”. It’s been a busy summer so far and I haven’t had much time to get behind my machine. Here is a Yellow Submarine inspired piece that I just finished up.

EDIT: BOTH HOODIES HAVE BEEN CLAIMED. Rare opportunity! I have two matching hoodies available for purchase. These were created a few months back for a husband and wife I’m good friends with. The first 4 pictures are of the navy blue XL and the last three pics are of the black Large. They weren’t exactly right for my friends and I’d like to get them into new homes so I can refund my buds. They’re 150 each or 275 if you buy the matching pair (plus shipping).

I decided it was time for a new hoodie for me! This one features a back patch made out of a tshirt. I love the Billy Strings metal style logo but could never get a shirt in my size so I picked up a small and whipped this up. The chest patch is an homage to Billy’s Tinfoil and Turmoil album and the song Pyramid Country. It’s a new design I came up with over breakfast this morning. The tie dye work was done by Taylor TayTay Capshaw of E4R7H Tie-Dye Co. I just cut one of her beautiful tapestries into pieces.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other! I’ve been busy living life and slinging a little hot sauce but now I’m ready to crank out some hoodies! Anyway, My buddy hired me to re create this logo for his smoke shop in Ocean City, Md. I just happened to have some fabrics that really lent themselves to the “Smoke” and “Water” motif. Next time you’re down at the beach stop on by Smoke on the Water and see Chuck!
