Activists are an integral part of the political ecosystem in MD and direct action is a critical component of fighting for social change.
We must fight to preserve ALL of our options to express our dissatisfaction against our lawmakers.
I urge members of to vote “NO!” on Del. Rosenberg and Sen. Hettleman's harmful laws. We know the proposed legislation doesn’t change our ability to call domestic terrorism & white supremacy by name.
As activists and organizers, we know from experience that these laws are unequally enforced against BIPOC activists and grassroots orgs, especially progressive and left-wing advocates.
We cannot allow reactionary laws like these for many reasons, but importantly because they violate the privacy of community organizers.

We need to preserve ALL of our options to express our dissatisfaction against our lawmakers.
