You start remembering every laugh, every little hand you held, every time they said “Daddy” or “Mommy,” and it hits different when the backseat quiets down. That’s when reality whispers, you’re just visiting your own blood. Don’t ever use a child as a pawn. Not for control. Not for revenge. Not for ego. Because while y’all playing tug-of-war with emotions, a little heart in the middle is learning what love ain’t supposed to feel like. To the real mothers and fathers fighting to stay in their kids’ lives — keep fighting. Keep showing up. Keep praying.
