The Chainsaw has been through a number of hard, hot, difficult miles and this morning's slaughter of cactus has left the saw drenched in blood... I mean sap. Now that the blood... I mean sap has dried, it's time to clean and sharpen for tomorrow! I'm going to remove nearly all of the cactus and expand the fire safe zone as far back as I can before the day gets too damn hot

The Pinyon Ridge trailhead is located near the Open Air Amphitheater. The trail itself is a loop so you end up back where you start.

Pinyon Ridge Trail this morning, there is one dead tree down across the trail and there is about a 20 feet section of the trail that needs to be cleared of pine needles, but other than that the trail looks great!
