Provides athletic training services to patients and clients within the scope of practice defined by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); also provides rehabilitation aide services within the regulations and scope of practice as determined for the use of Aides by the Physical Therapy Board, Occupational Therapy Board and Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California. Provides interventions and education services to patient/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. Certification as an Athletic Trainer by National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
