Good Fight Foundation organized a field trip for our garden members to attend the “Radical Histories: Chicano Prints from the Smithsonian American Art Museum,” exhibit at the Huntington Library. The exhibition’s 60 bold works by some 40 artists span more than six decades of Chicano printmaking as a form of resistance, community building, and cultural reclamation. We connected that history to the El Monte Berry Strike of 1933 and our current struggles for socio economic freedom. It is an honor to be a steward of the same land that our ancestors have been fighting for. ¡Viva la jardin de La Madera!, ¡Viva la resistencia! 🇲🇽✊🏽⛓️‍💥

Happy 31st Birthday Ray! Every year that we are able to gather for Play For Ray is a blessing. Thank you to all of our friends and family who have never let Ray be just a memory, but an active love that transcends space and time. It is this love that fuels everything we do with Good Fight Foundation. As much joy as Play For Ray brings us, we decided as a family to take this time focus on our healing and refill our cup so that we can continue to the work that needs to be done in our city. Happy 30th Birthday Ray 🥺

This one hit me hard. Another milestone that we won’t get to celebrate together on this Earth. The last birthday we celebrated together was your 21st. I had it all planned out and I remember you were excited thinking I was going to take you bar hopping or to the casinos in Vegas, but instead I took you to the LACMA museum because it was free entry day and you know I love a free day. We started that morning at Dodgers fan fest where you got a one on one batting lesson. It was a day in LA that I will never forget. It’s hard not to think about all the milestones you aren’t physically here for, but I know you never left our side. You were only here for 21 years, but your love will last us a lifetime. I hope you and Andrew will be our angels in the outfield tonight at Play For Ray. I hope you can see all the love that you left here on this Earth. Until we meet again 🥀🕊️💔
