Crossroads Disc Golf

All the trials I have faced in life are all worth it in this moment. I spent decades running from God's plan for me. Now I see all of His grace in one tiny face. Thank you Lord! He is real! He is alive! He is all powerful! He loves you and wants to redeem you!

Phaoroh invited the Hebrew family to settle in the best land - the land of Goshen. Our church is on Goshen Road. Coincidence? 😏

Not the "fear of God" - the terror. This wasn't about reverence. It was dread of God's wrath.

I don't recall catching this oath that Jacob made on my previous readings. What I like is the promise to serve God and another mention of tithing. What I don't like is how he says essentially "if God does this, I will serve Him." God created you. He created all of us. We owe Him - not the other way around. Of course, this magnifies the love of God - that He forgives our imperfections and loves us regardless. He sees the outcome from the beginning, and He knows his investment in Israel will be worth it. Praise the Lord!

There is so much happening here. Such a great passage displaying God's love for us.

I tend to think this appearance of Melchizedek was a Christophony. King of Salem or "king of peace", bread and wine, establishes tithing, gives glory to God most high. It all seems to add up, especially when you combine it with what is written about him in Hebrews. What are your thoughts?

Here God is describing Leviathan. Sure sounds a lot like a fire breathing dragon to me. I am amazed at how we dismiss so many things as myth without thinking the stories and legends are based in truth.

This one has always made me ponder. Some people say the behemoth God describes is a hippo or maybe an elephant. Neither of those have a tail like a cedar in my opinion. I am of the opinion he is describing something of massive size - like a sauropod dinosaur. There are plenty of cave drawings depiciting dino like creatures. I believe we once inhabited the same space and God is speaking to Job about them here. What do you think?
