Hornet Alert: AHS is being evacuated as a precautionary measure due to a gas smell coming from the culinary lab again. Azle FD is en route to investigate the odor, and a follow-up message will be sent as we receive updates from the fire department.

The Azle High School Choir had the incredible opportunity to record the National Anthem for the Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Inc.'s Annual Meeting! 🇺🇸🎶

A total of 55 AHS Varsity Mixed Choir students came together to record this special performance.

11:11 AM UPDATE: AHS All Clear - The Fire Department determined the gas odor was caused by an unlit pilot light in the culinary lab. Students and staff are returning to the building, and normal operations will resume.

Hornet Alert: Azle High School is being evacuated out of an abundance of caution due to a gas smell coming from the culinary lab. Azle FD is en route to investigate the odor. A follow-up message will be sent as we receive updates from the fire department.

Big performance from Azle's Zaylyn Woods at the Marine Corps Junior Nationals in Fargo! 🤼‍♀️

Woods took 5th place in the 16U 130-pound bracket, picking up four straight wins to open the tournament, including a pin and back-to-back 10-0 decisions, before falling one point short in the semifinals to the eventual runner-up. She bounced back to close out the tournament with an 8-4 win in the fifth-place match, earning All-American honors.

"It's a huge accomplishment. We've trained all year for that, so it was great," Woods said.

Teammate Noah Kovach also brought home All-American honors, taking 8th in the junior bracket. The two trained together throughout the offseason.
