Happy ! Elephants can teach us so much about the world, and we have so much to learn about them! IEF is committed to helping educate across many platforms which is why we helped develop a series of elephant-specific lesson plans FREE for teachers! Access it here on our website:

🎉🐾 Happy World Animal Day! 🌍💚🐘 Today, we celebrate all animals! One of the best parts of protecting and preserving elephants is that it helps every species who shares their habitat from lions to tigers, to sun bears (oh my!) to pangolin, giraffe, rhino, and more! We love nature and by focusing on elephants we can address whole-ecosystem benefits!
Who can name all of the species that make up this elephant?

Education is a vital part of conservation. Here in Nepal, a multigenerational audience of adults and kids alike learn about peaceful co-existence with elephants and wildlife. Adults can implement what they learn right away and kids can build their conservation ethic from the ground up.

Waking up to see your farm look like this is devastating: devastating to your income, to your food security, to your family's ability to send your kids to school, and to your safety. This is why IEF projects consider the human aspect to conservation. Families, farmers, and communities need to see benefits from conservation too, otherwise there is no motivation to protect the wildlife around them.
