🎶 What a night for our Forte Junior High Band! 🎶

Our students absolutely brought it at the Fall Band Concert! We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent they shared on stage. Watching our students grow as musicians—and seeing their confidence shine—is something special. 🎺🥁🎷

A huge thank you to our incredible band directors for all they do to make these performances possible. We appreciate Mr. Woolhouse, Mrs. Northam, and Mr. Riley for their time, expertise, and commitment to our students.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month! Azle ISD will be celebrating Go Red for Dyslexia on Tuesday October 6. Go Red for Dyslexia is a worldwide campaign aiming to end the stigma of low literacy and celebrate the strength of people with learning differences. We are asking that the students wear red as we place the spotlight on the strengths of our students with dyslexia. So often dyslexia is framed around limitations, but we are shifting from a deficit mindset to exploring the cognitive gifts that accompany dyslexia.

Special shoutout to our amazing dyslexia teacher, Mrs. Belinda Delikat! We appreciate you at FJH and all you do for your students!

🎉 Forte Fun Day = officially a HUGE success! 🎉

We spent the day laughing, playing, competing, singing, and—apparently—discovering that Forte JH is FULL of undercover Karaoke Kings & Queens. 🎤😂 Some students definitely came out of their shells, and we loved every minute of it!

From games and activities to just hanging out with friends, it was awesome to see our students having fun, building connections, and enjoying a well-earned celebration. 💚🖤

And this is just the beginning! Forte Fun Day will happen once every grading period, with the goal of celebrating students who are staying on top of their schoolwork and meeting our expectations.

Not everyone was able to join us this time, but that’s okay—there’s another Fun Day coming! Our hope is that by the end of the year, every single Hornet has had a chance to jump in on the fun. 🐝🎉

Keep those grades up, keep making good choices, and we’ll see you at the next one! 😎

Between adding a new grade level to account for and braving over a year of construction dust, our custodian team at Forte never missed a beat. 🛠️✨

On Custodian Recognition Day, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to the team that keeps our school safe, clean, and welcoming every single day. We love and appreciate you all! 💙👏

🎶🍂 Fall Choir Concert! 🍂🎶

Our amazing choir students took the stage Monday night and absolutely brought it! We are so proud of the hard work, confidence, and talent they shared with everyone who came out to support them. ❤️

A huge shoutout to Ms. Dean for preparing these incredible singers and helping them shine! We are lucky to have such a talented choir program here at Forte. 🎤👏

And yes…we realize there is a serious lack of pictures from the night. 😂 In the excitement of the evening, we apparently forgot the whole “document the moment” part. So, you’ll just have to trust us when we say they sounded AMAZING!

📚✨ Great things are happening in Mr. Womble’s 6th Grade ELAR class!

Our Hornets are diving into hexagonal thinking—making connections between ideas, concepts, characters, themes, and evidence in a hands-on way that gets students thinking beyond the page. 🔗🧠

We’re loving seeing our 6th graders learning, collaborating, and finding their place at Forte Junior High. 💚🖤

We love it when our students decide to be FUN for absolutely no reason! 😂🙌

This group of 8th graders came together for a little “Frat Boy Friday” theme day, and we loved seeing them embrace their goofy side! Sometimes it’s the little things that make the best memories. Keep being you, Hornets! 🐝💚🖤
