Basement Avatar Records is excited to announce our full slate of releases for the next several weeks.

This Friday, September 27th, Austin, TX progressive post-rock band Silent Like Lightning will release their debut album, Moving Mountains, on digital platforms, with a CD release to follow.

On Tuesday, October 1st, Austin, TX progressive rock band Crocodile (Crocodileatx) releases their sophomore album, Howling Mad Black Music Under Hot Stars, an album already gaining rave reviews, on CD and digital download.

Finally, Dallas, TX gothic post-rock band THE ANGELUS will release a digital single featuring their new song The Young Birds and a cover of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' The Weeping Song.

We are overwhelmed by the extremely high quality of these excellent releases. Good, weird music is alive and well in the state of Texas!

Following up on their acclaimed debut release, His Name Is Stan And He's A Bad Motherf**ker, their sophomore release continues their tasteful blend of Gentle Giant intricacy with influences from across the spectrum of music, but this time, they've done the unthinkable: created an album of progressive love songs.

Don't be fooled by this description, though. The 7 songs on this release hit you in the head and the heart and don't let go.
