Crew is doing some incredible work on the reconstruction of the base of the trail with engineered base with new rock armoring and water mitigation including culvert drainage pipes on the 3 creeks neighborhood trail. This is preparation for the new asphalt surface we will be laying down. Can't wait to see the new trail completed and community enjoying it.

New project kickoff! Crew is deployed and assembled at 3 Creeks community in Belton Texas. We're re-working their trail system. We're replacing damaged asphalt trail, installing drainage improvements throughout. In addition were adding decomposed granite trails with new routes and experiences for the users. We started the demolition phase and the team is already making good progress. More updates soon.

Experienced Machine Operator – Full-Time

KOM Trails | Central Texas

KOM Trails is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our growing team. We specialize in trail construction, bike parks, natural surface trails, and outdoor recreation projects throughout Central Texas. If you take pride in operating equipment with precision and enjoy working outdoors on unique projects, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable, skilled operator who can work efficiently on trail and site development projects within a 100-mile radius of Austin, Texas. This is a full-time position with steady work opportunities.

Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (skid steer, mini excavator, dozer, loader, etc.)
Perform grading, shaping, drainage work, and site prep
Assist with trail building, bike park construction, and landscape earthwork
Read grade stakes, layouts, and follow project plans
Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Work with crew members to complete projects on schedule
Maintain clean and safe job sites

Qualifications

Proven experience operating construction or earthmoving equipment
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability to travel to job sites within a 100-mile radius of Austin
Strong work ethic and punctuality
Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions
Must be able to lift, bend, walk uneven terrain, and perform physical labor as needed

Trail building experience is a major plus
Preferred Experience

Fine grading and finish work
Trail dozer / mini ex work
Drainage installation
Bike park or recreational construction experience
General construction background

Position Title: Finish Crew Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Projects located within a 100-mile radius of Austin, Texas

Requirements:
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Must be able to travel to project locations within 100 miles of Austin
Valid driver’s license preferred
Dependable and punctual
Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions
Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Experience with construction, landscaping, grading, concrete, trails, or heavy equipment is a plus

Responsibilities:
Final shaping and detailing of trails and bike park features
Raking, compacting, smoothing, and finish grading surfaces
Install drainage materials, rock, granite, and finish materials
Assist with trail maintenance and repairs
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment
Maintain clean and safe work areas
Support build crews and project leads as needed
