Meet Allyson: proof that sometimes the path from pizza to wigs makes perfect sense.

After working at Home Slice, Allyson went on to open Coco Coquette, one of Austin's most beloved destinations for wigs, makeup, sparkle, self-expression, and all-around fabulousness. ✨ Since 2010, Coco has been creating space for people to play, celebrate, and be exactly who they are.

These photos are from a bridal shower glam party Allyson hosted for a Home Slice employee during Coco's very first year in business. Think wigs, makeup, nails, glitter, and enough personality to fill a pizza shop.

Sixteen years later, Coco Coquette is still going strong, and we're incredibly proud to have watched Allyson build something so special for Austin.

Science is way more fun when pizza boxes are involved ☀️🍕

Students at nearby Lively Middle School turned Home Slice boxes into solar ovens and put the power of the Texas sun to work making s’mores. Equal parts science experiment, engineering project, and excuse to melt marshmallows.

Big thanks to Ms. Warrrix and her 8th grade science crew for giving our boxes a second life 🔥🍫♻️

Since 2013, we’ve kicked off our NYC trip at Lucali — and getting to see Mark and his staff delivering top-notch hospitality is exactly why it’s always a staff favorite.

There’s something about starting here that sets the tone for the whole trip: patience, craft, and a whole lotta love for the pie.
