Dr. Bill Chriss is this year's winner of the 2026 Gene Cavin Award! The Gene Cavin Award for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education was established by the CLE Committee in 1989 and recognizes long-term participation in State Bar CLE activities, either seminars or publications. It is named for the founder of the Professional Development Program who during his service from 1964 to 1987 lifted the level of practice in our state while bringing the program to international prominence. Bill will be presented with the award at the Advanced Civil Appellate Course in Austin. Congratulations, Dr. Chriss! 👏🏆
