Huge thank you to the guys that made this all happen.. The Continental Club for helping us track down this badass truck, for overseeing all of the updates and for getting it out to Albert!
Major thanks to Roadhouse Relics for the awesome custom paint job and for giving it that rustic look, you are extremely talented!
We headed to Roadhouse Relics for some neon sign fun. Neon Contemporary Art is crafted by Todd Sanders of Roadhouse Relics in his Austin Texas studio and gallery. He crafts his vintage-style designs using durable modern materials and specialized weathering techniques. It’s always a pleasure to photograph here.

Easy Tiger CEO Mike Stitt resolved to “get through this crisis by feeding Austin.” The bake shop donated over 10,000 fresh loaves of bread to charitable organizations. “Austin’s amazing,” Mike reflects, “it's big enough to matter, but it's small enough to care.”
Roadhouse Relics owner, Todd Sanders, recently brought his neon light art studio back to his backyard, where it began 25 years ago. With time to reflect, Todd’s been “reminded of what is most important,” including the renewal of creativity that has come from the challenge to create “fewer, better pieces” for clients.
Starting now, you can earn $5 back with American Express when you shop small and support cafes like Easy Tiger and artists like Todd Snyder. After you spend $10+ directly with an eligible small business, we’ll give you $5 back. Up to 10x. Enroll by 8/23/20 at ShopSmall.com. Spend by 9/20/20. Eligibility and terms apply.

My supremely talented best friend swilsonfoto shot this at Roadhouse Relics on a balmy 104 degree day. It was just the 2 of us - I remember lots of sweat, cold Mexican beer, and crying spells. 7 Angels (the album and title track) was recorded after losing my dearest childhood friend, Andy Morgan, to a tragic bicycle accident in NYC. Every note, every song, every solo, every everything on that album was inspired by Andy, and surrounded with his adventurous spirit. The recording session was cathartic. And this song still helps me feel connected to him whenever I sing it.💜

In 1997, Todd turned a crumbling old fruit stand on S. 1st street into an Austin landmark that the New York Times has since listed as a must see. The gallery is most often identified by the iconic “Greetings from Austin” postcard mural on the side of the building. In true South Austin spirit, the mural was painted before the collapsed roof was replaced. Todd has built a career designing and crafti

Top 9 highlights a great year for moving forward. We published our book and made many fun projects. It was also a great year for looking back at our 25th anniversary of turning an old fruit shack into our gallery and studio.

Our son had his first gig tonight. Just like a true musician he was nervous to go on and sad to leave the stage when he was done. Thank you for being so gracious.

Pawn Stars do America tonight on History channel. Rick, Corey and Chumlee leaned on Todd as the neon expert for the Austin show.

If you’re holiday shopping, please shop local. You can find our book on the shelf at the amazing store here in Austin. Also look for Todd on Spectrum News Austin Friday morning at 9am

This book is the story of how I wanted to be an artist, lost my confidence, and ultimately burned the bridges behind me to pursue my dreams. Sarah & I went through hundreds of photos and stories to bring together the ones we hope you feel are as special as we do.

30 years ago this week. I was a big fish in a a small pond called Huntsville. I decided to swim in new waters. Damn I love you Austin. You’ve changed. And I did too. But I still love you.

This one was fun! All neon inspired playlist for our friends at Revival Cycles. Thanks for including us! Posted • Our friend Todd Sanders has delivered our next Revival Tune-Ups, and it's special. If you aren't familiar with Todd, he is the owner of Roadhouse Relics and one of the premier neon artists around. You’ve seen his work on iconic signs for Jovita’s (RIP), The Continental Club in Houston and more. Todd and his wife Sarah picked only neon-related tunes for their inspiration, and there are some gems. And since Roadhouse Relics is a South Austin Original, it's only suiting that there is a real h***y tonk vibe. There are also some surprises. This is for sure the first guest list we have that has Peggy Lee and Ratt, Merle Haggard and Iggy Pop, and Donna Summer and Accept. Give Todd a follow and Sarah and check out more of his work at www.roadhouserelics.com then head over to the link in our bio to read more and hear some sweet tunes.

17 years ago I woke up and thought about how much I loved being single, how much I loved my life. 4 hours later this doll walked in to my studio. When she left I called my brother and said “I met my wife just now”.

WIP on a new Sailor Beware. Todd thinks she looks like Loretta Young, what do you think? 💚
