It’s our 6th year bringing circus joy to ACL Austin Kiddie Limits! Join us 1-4pm
We made this video for our pals over at The Wooden Nickel Carnival back in 2014 to help gather funds to bring what was then a vision, into fruition! Well that vision happened thanks to Ilya Tinker, Bailey Moore, hundreds of volunteers, many financial contributors, and a grant from Burning Man. The Wooden Nickel Carnival was brought to full form and debuted at Burning Man in 2015. We at Circus Picnic were delighted to be part of the origins of the Wooden Nickel Carnival through making this fundraising video and operating the booths at Burning Man that year.
Since then, the Wooden Nickel Carnival has activated many public and private events, festivals, and thousands of people have experienced the joy of playing it's vintage inspired games with it's quirky carnival operators.
The carnival is hiring so if you think you have what it takes to be a carnie, reach out to us for the upcoming training!

When I (Kelly) created the character of Mrs. Fondoodle, I envisioned roaming around Burning Man on stilts and asking people, "Would you like to be Fondoodled? And then feeding them decadent cheese fondue from a skewer while towering over them 🤪🧀. Mrs. Fondoodle hasn't made it to Burning Man yet, but she has made it to Muleshoe Bend while the Texas Bluebonnets are poppin'!

Bon Voyage Eric! Comedian, walking glober, acrobat, and juggler extraordinaire, Eric's been a quintessential member of Circus Picnic since 2015. A true multitalent, and dear friend. He's moving overseas this month and embarking on his life's next adventure. From all the fun times performing together at Austin City Limits, to acting as the Inventor on our Kid's TV show pilot, to filming his rope swing flips from highway overpasses 🫣... Dude, we'll miss you and all the magic you have brought and created with us at Circus Picnic over the years.
