✨The Quilting Tree✨

Finally took out all the quilts for one last photo shoot before saying goodbye to this luscious green backyard.

Week 15 of the is my block – Flux !!!🎊🦋🪐🎉

I’ve been on a longer than expected ig break – I underestimated everything about our move from Seattle to Austin, some for better and some not for better 😉😇.
But we made it and I couldn’t be more excited to be home 💗. (That is not really true, I would totally be more excited if I could have all my friends over and go to all my favorite places).

The Flux Block combines 3 simple shapes to create a visually intriguing block. The balanced color placement and symmetrical layout make the block look complex, but the basic building block units – half-square triangles, half-rectangle triangles, flying geese, and a courthouse step – make it beginner friendly. Play with the color/value relationships to discover a dynamic range of composition possibilities!

We have 1 week left before we move across the country during a pandemic 🥵. There are a lot of things I had planned to do this summer that didn’t get to happen—but don’t worry, I did manage to bring out all the quilts for one last mega photoshoot.....what do you think it could be????
