Meet our newest KVUE meteorologist, Meteorologist Kristin Walla!
She’s coming from our sister station KIII in Corpus Christi. You’ll be able to catch her on KVUE Midday Wednesday - Friday, then each evening Saturday and Sunday.

We’re so excited to have here! (And she’s a born and raised Texas girlie!)

KC and I start every morning on KVUE Daybreak at 4:30 am with your local news & weather here in Central Texas. We’re the first horses out of the gate! She just hit her first year here at KVUE and I want to keep her for many more years. (Now we just need to find her a lovely local gentleman to spoil her!! 😉❤️) She’s a tough cookie with a cool back story. You may also remember her and Shane switched spots from Miami to Texas! Be sure to follow her here K.C. Sherman.

WIDESPREAD STORMS TUESDAY NIGHT:

Widespread rain and storms return overnight tonight, starting in the Hill Country after 10pm, then spreading across the Austin-metro from midnight to 2am.

Severe storms will be possible, with the main threat being isolated severe wind gusts. Large hail cannot be ruled out, but our tornado threat is very very low. Heavy rain and localized flooding will also be something to watch, with some areas expected to receive a quick 1"-3" where some of the heaviest downpours set up.
