I’m extremely sad to report the passing of Paul Gonzales. Paul was a long time and very loyal employee, friend and family member to the Koens and Joe Koen & Son Jewelers. Paul graduated from Johnston High School in 1976, and after taking jewelry classes there, was hired while still a teenager. Paul spent the next approximate 35 years working his jewelers bench in the store. Paul could fix anything. Sometimes it took asking two or three times, but eventually, he would do it! He was an avid Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboy fan, with the San Antonio Spurs not too far behind. He loved to fish. I always thought he was in the wrong business. He should have been a chef. Paul was a fabulous cook. A true friend and loyal as the day was long. Paul is survived by his wife, Virginia, his children P.J. and Amy, and a host of other family members and close friends. Rest In Peace Amigo! 💜💙❤️
