Chrissy and Dave built the pavilion for their wedding reception in just three days so their guests had somewhere to sit for dinner.

That detail tells you everything you need to know about who they are, and it’s exactly why this wedding looked and felt the way it did.

My job was to take that energy and build a world around it. Enter: a rally car garage turned funky greenhouse wedding reception, grounded in native Texas plants and layered with color and texture and candlelight until the whole thing resembled an iridescent mermaid. 🧜‍♀️

I always start the design process by getting to know my couples. What they care about, what makes them them, what they’d never compromise on. When I know that, every decision, from the color palette and linen texture to the plants on every table that guests took home, has a reason behind it.

That’s the experience I’m always building toward. One where you feel it, your guests feel it, and nobody wants to go home.

Clocked in vs. clocked out ✨

Clocked in: Moodboards being built, linen pulls, florals fluffed just right, timelines dialed in, and me fully locked into how a room is going to feel before a single guest walks in. Designing, tweaking, building, and bringing a vision to life down to the smallest detail ❤️‍🔥

Clocked out: Saltwater, surfboards, spontaneous trips, late night chats, good food, better drinks, and the people who remind me to actually slow down and live in it 🥂

Planning weddings for nearly five years has taught me things no course, mentor, or TikTok deep dive ever could.

Some of it is about design. Some of it is about logistics. But most of it is about people. From how they gather to how they celebrate, and what actually makes a wedding stay with you long after the dance floor clears.

The weddings I’m proudest of weren’t the most perfect ones. They were the ones where the couple stayed present, trusted their vendor team, and built a day that actually felt like them.

The kind of wedding where guests leave saying, “that felt different.”
